GP Ratings:

Our minimum certification requirement is a recognised STCW '95 EDH Certification with Watch Rating Certification (dual department) normally meeting the requirements for General Purpose (GP) Rating Grade 1.

The main duties are:

Ø Watch rating and lookout duties.

Ø General deck and engine department duties including mooring, cleaning, painting and maintenance.

Ø Support the shipboard Safety Management System.

Cook/GP Rating:

Our minimum certification requirement is a recognised Certificate of Competency as Ships' Cook, wherever possible hold STCW '95 Efficient Deck Hand certificate and Watch Rating Certificate meeting the requirements for Deck Rating Grade 2.

The main duties are:

Ø Prepare, cook and present breakfast, lunch and dinner menu's on a daily basis to appropriate quality, nutritional standard and variety taking into account crew dietary requirements and watch patterns.

Ø Ordering of food stores and stock control and management, keeping within budget and minimising wastage.

Ø Cleaning and maintaining hygiene standards within the galley and mess room and all food preparation areas, store rooms and refrigeration units, ensuring that the vessel meets the requirements of Ship's Sanitation Inspection and certification.

Ø Implementation and management of basic hygiene plan.

Ø Ensuring that the disposal of all galley generated waste is stored, treated and disposed of in accordance with the vessels Garbage Management Plan.

Ø General deck and engine department duties including mooring, cleaning, painting and maintenance as may be directed.

Ø Support the shipboard Safety Management System.

Work Pattern:

Nominal 12 hours per day as duties dictate either as a single shift or split as necessary to undertake the required duties.

14 days on duty, 14 days off duty.
