UK Dredging's Hydrographic Services department specialises in undertaking port, coastal and inland surveys in the UK and Northern Europe for dredging, navigation and environmental monitoring purposes.
The department maintains the personnel and equipment to support three mobile surveying suites fullly. Utilising up-to-date positioning equipment, including RTK, echo sounders, heave compensators and computer systems, UKD Hydrographic Services is capable of running surveys independently of any local support and existing infrastructure.
The department operates from our Cardiff office, but its fully mobile capability enables operations across the UK and Northern Europe.
UKD Hydrographic Services aims to provide a total survey service tailored to the individual client's needs. Post-processing and chart production can normally be undertaken while on site. This enables a rapid turnaround of data and gives the client the opportunity to discuss the survey results, allowing for further data analysis in the form of volume calculations and seabed profiles. This is backed up by full reporting and quality assurance procedures.
UKD is also able to supply digital results in the form of XYZ files (for use in spreadsheets, for example) and CAD drawings. The department can utilise industry standard data to enable further analysis and chart production.
Presentation of results can be customised to the client's requirements with colours, sizes and scales to suit.
